Manning Y. Culbertson was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He is a graduate of Wofford College and Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Manning is admitted to practice before South Carolina State and Federal Courts. He is a member of the SC Bar Association and is certified as a trial advocate by the National College of Advocacy of the American Trial Lawyers Association (now AAJ). He is also a member of the Haynsworth-Perry Inn of Court. Manning has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Highest Rated AV® for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability.Manning’s father, John Bolt Culbertson, began the practice of law in the 1930’s. His important legal and social career is documented in the South Carolina Political Collections at the University of South Carolina Libraries, which can be viewed at http://library.sc.edu/scpc/Culbertson.pdf. Manning’s uncle, Rodney A. Culbertson, joined the practice of law after World War II. Manning chose to become a lawyer because helping others is truly a family tradition.
